❄️

Can you feel that?

It’s a shift and the feeling of finally being ok.  It’s the anticipation of a new beginning, a breath of fresh air.

It’s been a winding road this year, but I am so glad to be closing out 2024 with all things pointing upwards.

It’s been another year of lessons, growth, challenges, and hurdles.  It’s been another year of gains and losses.  But most importantly it’s another year that I pushed through it all step by step and I am still smiling – even if there are a few scars to show from it.   Scars are not signs of weakness, they are little battle wounds to remind you of your strength.  As I’ve said to Mila in the past, we wear them proudly.

This year I’ve learned to “let them” as the great Mel Robbins says.  I let them go, I let them help and I let it be!  I can see clearly now and am trusting my gut which has never steered me in the wrong direction.

2025 I’m sure will be filled with its usual roller coaster of events but roller coasters can be fun too.  I also know that there are several things that I am extremely excited about as well as things I have high hopes for.   The beauty of hope and new beginnings lies in their simplicity: the belief that we can always start over, that we can always find a way forward, and that no matter where we are, we are never too far gone to begin again. Every new day is an opportunity to rewrite our story, to create something new, and to step into the person we are becoming.

I see the old me as I look back, but it doesn’t hurt to see her anymore.  I am no longer reaching back in an attempt to grip and hold on to her because I can see that although some of her is still in me, pushing ahead is much more positive and hopeful and DAMN if feels so good.  I know who I am now, I know who I want to continue to be and what I want around me.  I am not afraid to set boundaries, nor will I feel guilty or bad about them.  I am setting my goals and standards high because I know I can achieve them and most importantly, I deserve them.

So, as you stand at the threshold of a new year, remember that hope is always within reach. Embrace the unknown, trust in your journey, and know that no matter how many times you begin again, each new beginning holds the promise of a brighter, more fulfilled tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and cheers to a blessed and hopeful 2025.
